23 Sept - Checkers Day
I've decided that for my list-post days, I will title those posts with that "day". So, 23 Sept is "Checkers Day", which is a reference to Nixon's 1952 speech. I'll read that Wiki article later to learn about the speech haha.
Onto the list post!
1. Last night I finally checked out a tiny pub in my town. ... yeah, not going there again, even if it's close enough that I could walk there (but I don't because that part of the road isn't really safe to cross). It's got an older crowd, and to clarify for the gentlemen @godfatherofgreenbay and @buddy71, I am not against dating older men but that pub had slim pickings haha.

3. I'm trying to figure out if I want to do anything for Halloween. Suggested costumes so far are: slutty librarian (here), slutty gangster, slutty housewife (I guess a short dress, apron, and gloves?), pin-up (I guess like this?), dominatrix (this made me spit my beer out last night from laughing). My limit to spend is $30. Also, I'm not sure if I'll go out, but Megan and I are probably going to try to go to the KentFest, which is a MASSIVE party in Kent. So... I need ideas, and whoever donates money to my "slutty Halloween" cause has a partial say in the costume lmao.
4. Hmm - pubs, church, and slutty costumes so far. Smart combo, Marica.
5. Oooo, I 'accidentally' created a cute outfit yesterday! So I was out shopping and looking for a new pair of jeans, and I saw a pair of skinny jeans (I know girls my size are told to stay away from them, but I thought I'd try something new on). I also found a tank top which would look good under a blazer for work or casually. In the fitting room, I threw them together and I was like "damn!" haha. I would wear tunics with the jeans most likely.

soooo...i guess you are in a "slutty" mood??i dont think you should run from those wondering why you are back. you dont have to go into any great detail. it can be simple as "i just was not what i thought it was to be." and take the conversation to something else.
you didnt fail. you tried something that didnt fit so it went back on the rack. that is not failure.
oh, btw...the pin up looks like a fun costume
@Thatslifekid - Yeah that's my thought too. That, and I just like tunics haha.
@buddy71 - Haha, I'm not particularly in a slutty mood but it would be different from "safe" costumes I'd typically choose haha. Megan says I dress too safe haha, but it's what I'm comfortable in.
@Marica0701 - well maybe it is time to be a little less safe???
@Marica0701 - Also... not a fan of slutty halloween costumes. I was minnie mouse 2 years ago and sporty spice last year. Got to come up with something myself.
@buddy71 - Haha. I had my not-safe days in college... I had enough to last me a while :P
@Thatslifekid - Oh man, Sporty Spice?! Awesome! Last year I was in my handmade peacock costume which was a skirt, blouse, and the tail. I was now thinking of a 1950s housewife, but non-slutty haha. Plus, I could re-wear the dress any other time.
It could be even sluttier with some cleavage.
@Rob_of_the_Sky - Hahahaha... that's a rarity. But perhaps it's allowed for Halloween.

I was in a bar last Tuesday evening and at first I thought I was the youngest person there. One guy had a white beard down to his waist and I knew the other was pushing 90. Then I saw two ten year olds playing pool so I felt old again.

@godfatherofgreenbay - Hahaha... while I'm glad to still be very young, sometimes it's odd being the absolute youngest at bars, like Saturday night.

I'm going as a Catholic school girl....I was raised Catholic, and I am a school girl, so it's easy.But when I am out of my parents' view I am going to slut it up :PWhich is funny because I am a total, like, spaztastic, straight-A NERD .Have a happy Halloween !That's wonderful that you're happy to be back with your church family once again. I don't blame you for not wanting to answer the questions. A lot of people mean well, but there are some that can be too nosy sometimes. The main thing is that you're back, regardless of all the reasons why. And for that alone, your church family is definitely blessed!! =)

@making_a_comeback_05 - I figure now that I know I'll be at this church for a while longer, I might actually step up to be on council - I'd be the youngest by a long shot. And as for slutty... I don't know haha. I might feel a bit uncomfortable, but it could get me out of my comfort zone which doesn't happen too often and I shouldn't be such a grandma allllllllll the time haha
@Marica0701 - If you really want to be on the council, then go for it! :) And who said you had to be a slutty librarian, or whatever you decide to be??? You can just be a super, special, awesome "ordinary" librarian!!! :) And grannies are cool, am I right? ;) Screw the haters!!! :D
I wear skinny jeans like a BOSS & I'm probably about the same body frame as you, if not bigger. & I don't think your outfit looks slutty at all! Either that, or I must dress terribly slutty. I like to wear clothes that are form fitting, (but not tight) since when I wear loose clothes it makes me look bigger... You are ROCKING that outfit! & I know I haven't messaged you back yet, but I am still on board for making the cards! =)
